NEW YORK - Vivid contract girl Savanna Samson voiced her support of New York mayor Rudy Giuliani's Republican presidential candidacy in a recent interview published on papermag.com.

Samson went on to express her approval of Giuliani's campaign to clean up New York City. Giuliani's efforts led to the closing of Times Square's legendary grindhouse theaters and sex shops to make way for family-friendly tourist attractions. 

"I was dancing at Scores when Guiliani made the 60/40 ruling," Samson said. "I used to sit with my customers and have dinner and make lots of money, and then the dinner area became the part [of the restaurant/bar] where you couldn't be topless. But I like how he has cleaned up the city. Like I said, there's a time and a place for everything, and I think porn should be in the privacy of your own home. I don't want to see it in the windows from the street when I'm walking with my child. I feel like he could do what he did with New York City all across America."

AVN's Mark Kernes noted that Samson did not explain how the porn would get to the privacy of one's own home. Kernes stressed that under the Giuliani administration, the city passed the most onerous anti-adult zoning laws in the city's history, adding that the administration and Giuliani himself, between them, filed more than 20 anti-First Amendment lawsuits, the most famous being an attempt to cut off funds to the Brooklyn Museum for having displayed what was termed an anti-religious work of art.

When asked if she felt comfortable telling Giuliani about her support of his run for President, Savanna said, "I don't think he would turn down my vote because I'm a porn star!"
